Andrey Ruznyaev – musician, multi-instrumentalist, music teacher, arranger who graduated from the Gnessins’ Academy of Music. He is a winner and laureate of numerous All - Russian and International Festivals and also participated in different musical forums. During the long time had been working as an artist of big jazz orchestras such as Anatoly Kroll and Georgy Garanyan orchestras.
Andrey was born in 1986 in Nizhneudinsk (Irkutsk region). In the young years Andrey was demonstrating musical talents such as good musical memory and sense of rhythm and easily could memorize and replay any musical melodies. In turn a craving for musical knowledge helped to meet with the musicians – professionals. In this period he already was dreaming about a musical career. Between 2003 and 2005 he used to be the bass-guitar player in Philharmonic jazz ensemble. Since 2005 has performed in different orchestra compositions and groups as a trombone and a bass-guitar player. During 2005-2008 he had been attending Irkutsk musical college and studied with K. Akimov (trombone) and also been practicing arrangement under V. Romanenko. In 2008 he entered Gnessins’ Academy of music under M. Piganov (trombone) and internationally acclaimed performers: Folk Artist of Russia I. Butman (ensemble), Folk Artist of Russia A. Kroll (big-band), U. Chugunov (arrangement) and others. Years of study he combined with the Academic-band director position. As a musician and an arranger Andrey has collaborated with Russian luminaries: Alexey Chumakov, Grigory Leps, Leonid Agutin, Igor Saruhanov, Oleg Mityaev and others. Played with indi-rock group “Fruit buttermilk” and uncountable numbers of cover-groups.
Nowadays Andrey writes scores for Jazz and Sympho -Jazz compositions, Instrumentation for brass - section and other orchestra group, performs as a bass-guitar and trombone player, creates arrangements and does musical production for musical groups and creative association, teaches master classes, ensemble, arrangement and other disciplines (harmony, improvisation etc.)
